1. What is your position on the USA Patriot Act and are you in favor of the SAFE (Security and Freedom Ensured) Act which addresses some of the most problematic provisions of the Patriot Act?
2. In October 2005, select provisions of the USA Patriot Act are scheduled to sunset. Do you support the renewal of those provisions and/or expansion of the Patriot Act?

The USA Patriot Act is the worst Congressional action of the millennium. It’s flagrantly unconstitutional and should be immediately repealed -- SAFE isn't sufficient. The most objectionable provisions include: warrentless searches and surveillance, elimination of financial privacy, and life detention of immigrants without due process -- a blank check for institutionalized harassment of undesirables without judicial oversight. Most Congressmen didn’t even read the bill. Unlike my opponents, I pledge to read every bill before voting.
